One of the small and beautiful mountainous countries of Southern Europe is Bulgaria. It is famous and known as a “Land of Roses” due to the vast production of roses. Bulgaria is advantageously located near Turkish Straits, which allows it to be the control spot of main land ways from Europe to Middle East and Asia.

The official language here is Bulgarian, but Turkish and Roma are also spoken many people.

 

One can reach Bulgaria by rail, because here is the big network of trains, connecting Sofia with Budapest, Bucharest, Thessaloniki, Belgrade, Paris, Vienna, Munich and Berlin.

If you prefer travelling by sea – the key international seaports of the Black Sea, Varna and Bourgas are at your disposal. River trips are also available, as Ferries can cross into Romania from Vidin to Calafat.

For those, who like comfortable travelling Bulgaria Air, national airline of Bulgaria offers a multitude of directions. Main airport of Bulgaria is Sofia International Airport EAD (SOF). It lies in six miles east of Sofia. Another airport situated in 5 miles from Varna is Varna International Airport (VAR). It is located in the western periphery of the city.
